Tax Accountant Manager or Senior Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Tax Accountant Manager or Senior Manager to join their team. This is a hybrid position, with two days being onsite in their Encino, CA office. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $120,000 to $160,000 per year.

Job Description:

Prepare tax returns and provide tax advice

Contact and/or follow up with clients to send in documentation needed to substantiate return

Review QuickBooks files for business tax returns and makes journal entries as needed

Perform technical review of tax returns prepared by other staff members

Meet with clients via video or phone conference or, occasionally, in-person

Collaborate with Partners and other staff for tax planning and advisory needs for clients

Research government notices and seeks resolution from the IRS, FTB or other state and local taxing authorities

Requirements:

Experience supervising others preferred

Strong commitment to client confidentiality

Customer service focused

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to handle multiple tasks and multiple clients independently

Proficient in Excel

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 6 years' relevant experience
