Join our dynamic AARP Driver Safety Team as a Program Analysis Intern and play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to help older drivers be safe, informed, and confident.
As a Program Analysis Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated team, gaining hands-on experience in data analysis and program management to help expedite the onboarding of new volunteers, identify new locations for our courses to be offered, explore additional education topics older drivers are interested in learning about, and much more.
This internship offers a unique blend of responsibilities, allowing you to develop a diverse skill set while making a meaningful difference.
This paid internship has an anticipated start date of Fall 2025 and will run through the end of the year, with the possibility of extending additional semesters.
Responsibilities Develop reports as needed to support data analysis and activities around volunteer training, state coordinator budget management, participant feedback, etc Utilize the AARP Volunteer Portal to update key candidate training milestones to assist volunteer leadership and maintain onboarding momentum Support new volunteers through their training and onboarding, and schedule their first courses and workshops in their community Support Driver Safety virtual volunteers and programming on Zoom Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on improving training and onboarding Qualifications Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or postdoctoral students, and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship, or must have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program Preferably working towards a degree in data analytics, communications, marketing, or a related field Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting volunteers Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly when handling data and reporting Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Strong familiarity with Excel preferred, including creating and modifying spreadsheets and integrating data sets from different sources Familiarity with Zoom and the basics of Tableau is a plus Should be a self-starter and able to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities Must be able to work well with diverse populations, including gender, race, and sexual orientation, and have the patience required to work with older volunteers AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.

Compensation and Benefits The hourly range is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, and $28 for Ph.D.
candidates.
Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
