Key Responsibilities:
Perform both automated and manual laboratory tests across various departments, including Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology.
Analyze test results and report findings to providers or registered nurses promptly.
Assist in the training and education of MLT students.
Ensure compliance with quality control (QC) and maintenance documentation.
Participate in continuing education activities and adhere to regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; or HEW designation as a technologist in lieu of a degree. Completion of a Medical Technology Program is preferred.
Certifications: ASCP certification preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years of laboratory experience is strongly preferred.
Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
