Job Description Summary: The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas to teach introductory and intermediate Economics courses for the Fall 2025 semester.
Major Responsibilities: * Prepare and present lectures.
* Meet with students as needed to answer questions.
* Respond to student queries (e.g.
email or voice mail) as needed, in a reasonably timely manner.
* Write, administer, and grade all student assignments and exams.
* Compute grades and submit them on time.
Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in Economics from an accredited college, university or a foreign equivalency.
* Master's degree in one of the following disciplines and 18 graduate-level credits in Political Science or Government from an accredited college or university or a foreign equivalency: Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Environmental/Natural Resource Economics, Finance/Financial Economics, Law and Economics PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * College teaching experience.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish.
English and other languages will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: * Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Product suite.

Application Instructions: * Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour.
Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
* Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
