Tumor Registrar
Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Tumor Registrar, under the guidance and supervision of the Research & Bioethics Director, identifies, registers, and maintains records of all cancer patients by using a tumor registry data system.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Current student or graduate from an NCRA Accredited Certificate Program Required (if not ODS certified)
Associates degree in science-related field preferred
Minimum Work Experience
1-2 years of healthcare/Oncology experience preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
Oncology Data Specialist Certification preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Knowledge of oncology terminology and medical practices. Identify cancer diagnoses and cases.
Utilize cancer registry database.
Ensure data completeness.
Comply with Oncology Data Specialist standards.
Analyze data/run reports as necessary. Track patient survival data.
