Virgin Galactic is seeking a first rate highly motivated Systems Lead Technician to support our Manufacturing team.

This role is for hands-on people with great attention to detail and excellent people skills.

This individual should be highly agile with a willingness to overcome complex challenges and projects.

The work you will be performing includes but is not limited to pneumatic tube and valve installation, hydraulic systems installation/fabrication, integration of hybrid rocket propulsion systems, installation of landing gear, flight control actuators, and cabin environmental control systems.

Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving A/C systems highly encouraged.

Work Schedule: 4/10 Onsite Monday through Thursday Night Shift (4:00pm - 2:30am) Responsabilities * Hour-to-hour oversight of shop floor personnel * Responsible for assigning daily tasks to shop personnel as required to meet daily milestones * Leads with safety as their North Star to ensure our personnel and assets are kept safe each and every day * Work closely with Supervisor to forecast completion dates and estimate work package durations * Encourage and provide development and training opportunities for technicians utilizing coaching and leadership skills * Assemble and install A/C system components and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes * Ability to safely and correctly utilize shop tools/machinery to include drills, die grinders, calipers, etc.) * Ability to safely and correctly drill a variety of hole sizes in both composite and metal structures, including stack-ups of dissimilar materials * Understanding and familiar with different fastener types including Hi-Lok, Hi-Lite, Composi-Lok, etc.

* Proven technical aptitude and experience * Familiarity with MS flareless fittings and other standard O-rings * Requires the ability follow and document complex processes * Must be willing to work in both a team environment and or individually as circumstances dictate * Ability to support scheduled work shifts, extended hours, and weekends if/when vital * Hands on aircraft manufacturing experience with both composite and metallic airframes * Follow instructions precisely to complete complex assemblies accurately * Utilize computer skills to support manufacturing of product(s) * Ability to apply current skillset as well as a willingness to learn additional skills required to complete spacecraft integration operations Required Skills and Experience * Education and Experience.

2+ years of lead experience, ideally in aerospace and/or manufacturing environment.

Experience in a start-up organization or a highly unique cultural environment.

* High School diploma or equivalent * Airframe & Power plant (A&P) training preferred but not required * Hands-on experience in a precision yet manual manufacturing setting strongly preferred * Ability to take direction well * Ability to work effectively and maintain a high-level of attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with constantly evolving roles and responsibilities * Excellent listening and communication skills * Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills * Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems * Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices * Strong safety forward thinking, recognizes the importance of properly handling hazardous materials, chemicals, tools, etc.

* Have the drive to see a program from the beginning of manufacturing to full rate spaceship production * Experience leading technical projects and fellow teammates to achieve goals or solve problems #LI-DR1 The annual U.S.

base salary range for this full-time position is $72,134.00-$105,019.00.

The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity.

Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
