Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech

Must-Have:

- Recent experience in sterile processing

- Experience with Epic charting system preferred

- Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization procedures

Description:

Competently performs standardized instrument processing and decontamination to prevent the spread of infection, illness, or disease.

Works independently, exercising sound judgment to support department functionality.

Disinfects and distributes supplies and performs equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.

Integrates education and technical competence to execute safe and precise sterilization procedures.

Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety.

Delivers optimal patient care through consistent practice and diligence.

Key skills include knowledge of various sterilization methods, cleaning equipment, and proper labeling techniques.

Demonstrated ability in assembling and organizing trays for surgical procedures.

Experience with automated endoscope reprocessors and sterilization testing/monitoring.

Understands the use of chemical agents for decontamination and high-level disinfection.
