Job Description Job Description: Accounts Payable Analyst Summary The Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst plays a key role in supporting the AP function through financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
This individual possesses a strong understanding of AP practices and thrives in an environment that values innovation, flexibility, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
The AP Analyst will provide critical analytical support, assist with month-end close activities, and partner with management on projects and audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the department.
Essential Functions * Provide analytical support on key metrics to drive process improvements.
* Support the AP month-end close process, including accruals.
* Assist the AP Manager with reporting and operational needs.
* Identify and recommend process and technology improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
* Partner with management on special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
* Post journal entries and voucher invoices.
* Prepare 1099 forms and Unclaimed Property returns.
Additional Responsibilities * Collaborate with team members and adapt to project needs, assisting in other areas when required.
* Identify compliance risks and take proactive steps to eliminate or minimize them.
* Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a positive attitude and supporting colleagues.

Qualifications & Competencies * 3+ years of financial and/or data analysis experience.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and related functions required). * Skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
* Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication with the ability to interact across all organizational levels.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passion for continuous improvement.
Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 3+ years of AP experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with electronic AP processing systems; SAP experience a plus.
* General accounting experience preferred.
* Strong mathematical proficiency and problem-solving skills.
