Analyzes, coordinates and processes international admission application documents and related immigration documents for admission package consistent with federal regulations.
Major Duties * Serve as Designated School Official/Alternate Responsible Officer in the daily operation of Student and Exchange Visitor Information System.
Analyses and interfaces University student information systems with federal database.
* Prepares and issues federal immigration forms utilizing batch software systems, in compliance with federal law and regulations.
* Analyzes and processes international application checklists, tasks, and files containing admission decisions.
Processes letters and related data entry into student information systems.
Uses software to review documents.
* Analyzes and process the entry of credit evaluation data, including data related to articulation and partner agreements.
Maintains and updates information in the student information system.
* Monitors central email accounts and respond to inquiries regarding the processing status of application materials, prospective student questions, inquiries from other University departments.
Refers emails to related areas.
* Oversees and process shipping services for department.
Assist with central office operations, supply orders and imaging.
Coordinates stock of recruitment materials.
* May provide work direction to clerical staff and student employees.
* Serve as designated back up for front desk position with phone coverage.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications * Some college coursework required.
* Some relevant experience.
* Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness.
* Office experience with word-processing, spreadsheets and databases.
* U.S.
citizen or lawful permanent resident to meet the federal requirements to serve as a Designated School Official (for the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security) and Alternate Responsible Officer (for the U.S.
Department of State). Desired Qualifications * Foreign language skills suitable for interpretation of application.
