General Summary Who We Are With three campuses along Colorado's Front Range, Front Range Community College (FRCC) is the state's largest community college.
We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.

Who You Are As a part-time instructor in the Horticulture and Landscape Technologies Department you will provide instruction and assessment for HLT 1030 Landscape Design I.
This class teaches the basic graphics, scale and site analysis skills used by landscape designers.
The class is offered twice a week for two hours each session.Required department meetings (some of which occur the week prior to the semester beginning) will be paid in addition to the course pay rate.
Training and professional development opportunities are paid at an hourly rate and contribute to increases in teacher pay rate.
You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students.This course may have field trips off campus in addition to the scheduled class times.Student retention and success is your top priority.
You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.
You will also utilize school provided email, a course website for students and a gradebook, conduct labs and/or field trips when applicable, as well as be attentive to providing timely student feedback.
You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.

SALARY:The pay range for Part-Time Instructors varies, depending on the type of course, the contact ratio and contact hours, as well as your level of education and years of teaching.

BENEFITS:Part-Time Instructors will have their hours measured on an annual basis to determine eligibility to enroll in medical health insurance only for the following benefit period.

Qualifications Required Education/Training & Work Experience: * A related associate degree (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 yearsOR arelated Bachelor's or any Master's degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years.
AND * Licensure as a Landscape Architect by the Colorado State Board of Landscape Architects ORCertification as a Professional Landscape Designer by the Certification Committee of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD)OREmployment as a landscape designer or ownership of a landscape design firm.
Related Degree, Credential, and/or Occupational Experience in:Horticulture, Ornamental Horticulture, Environmental Horticulture, Amenities Horticulture, Urban Horticulture, Arboriculture, Arborist, Forestry, Urban Forestry, Tree Care or Tree Care Technician, ASHS Associate Professional Horticulturist, ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, NALP Landscape Industry Certified Manager credential, recognized industry qualifications/certifications CLT, CCNP, CLIA, ISA Certified Arborist, or related Business Ownership/License.
