Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Prospect Development and Advancement Services, the Associate Director of Advancement Systems, Data, and Reporting serves as the Division's technology leader.
This hands-on role oversees all advancement technology solutions, including the Salesforce based Affinaquest CRM and auxiliary systems such as GiveCampus and HubSpot.
The Associate Director leads the Advancement reporting team, trains users, and serves as a subject matter expert in system configuration, automation, data integration, and analytics, partnering with IT and campus stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative solutions for the Advancement Office.
Major Areas of Responsibility ● Serve as the Division of Advancement's resident technology expert, providing overall administration, training, and strategic direction for the Salesforce Affinaquest CRM and all advancement point solutions (GiveCampus, HubSpot, Blackthorn, and other platforms); design, configure, and optimize the platform to support fundraising and constituent engagement strategies.
● Manage system integrations and data flows between Salesforce and auxiliary applications; oversee integration projects and ensure accurate and secure data exchange while maintaining data standards and compliance.
● Lead and mentor the advancement reporting team and other technical staff; set priorities, assign tasks, and provide hands on support; collaborate closely with Information Technology to ensure systems meet institutional needs.
● Build and maintain Flows and process automations, custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, and Lightning pages to streamline business processes; develop and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide actionable insights to leadership and frontline staff.
● Work with the Associate Director of Gift Records and Data Integrity to assist with data cleaning projects.
● Develop and maintain self service and ad hoc reporting solutions; deliver training and documentation to staff to foster adoption and effective use of CRM tools, reports, and dashboards.
● Evaluate emerging technologies, third party applications, and Salesforce releases; recommend and implement upgrades or new solutions to enhance the division's data and reporting capabilities.
● Serves as liaison between Advancement and the college's ITS department.
Minimum Qualifications ● Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
● At least five years of progressive experience administering Salesforce CRM systems in a fundraising, advancement, or nonprofit environment; demonstrable expertise with Salesforce Flows, Lightning development, reporting, dashboards, and data integrations.
● Demonstrated expertise in database management, data integrity practices, and integration of third party applications; proficiency in SQL or SOQL and experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to design and deliver complex reports and dashboards; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide actionable analytics to stakeholders.
● Proven leadership and supervisory experience, including managing teams, setting priorities, and mentoring staff; excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with technical and non technical stakeholders.
● Experience with fundraising operations and understanding of advancement terminology, gift processing, and philanthropic data standards; knowledge of industry best practices and compliance requirements; Salesforce Administrator certification or similar credentials preferred.
● Experience working with auxiliary systems such as GiveCampus, HubSpot, Blackthorn, or other marketing and engagement platforms ● Strong service orientation and a high level of professionalism.

Additional information: This is a full time, exempt level position with a salary range of $102,000-$115,000.
