SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Position Type: Substitute/Substitute Teacher Date Posted: 5/7/2025 Location: Districtwide Additional Information: Show/Hide LICENSED SUBSTITUTE TEACHER - $18.57/hr TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Substitute - Temporary, as needed FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of essential duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

* Follow lesson plans, or develop lesson plans to implement into daily instruction * Administer appropriate district curriculum which is aligned with Nevada State standards and conforms to district guidelines.

* Analyze student progress and provide appropriate instruction.

* Ensure assessment regulations and guidelines are followed at all times.

* Work professionally and collaboratively with administration, staff, parents, and community.

* Facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students.

* Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students.

* Plan and implement effective lessons; using time, materials and resources effectively.

* Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback.

* Display a thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.

* Provide classroom management and discipline that ensures safety at all times.

* Maintain accurate and complete records in order to remain compliant with applicable law(s), district policy and administrative regulation.

REQUIRED LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: MUST POSSESS A NEVADA TEACHING LICENSE ISSUED BY THE NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.
