Licensed Practical Nurse Full-Time#- Highland Float Department Rate: Starting at $30.00 per hour, negotiable Highland Medical, a division#of Montefiore Nyack Hospital, recently#certified as a #Great Place to Work,# has#an opportunity for a full-time#Licensed Practical Nurse#to assist our Float department. The LPN is responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to our patients at the practices.# Within the scope of practice, assumes responsibility, as necessary, for the assessment, treatment and care of patients.# Displays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing treatment.# Displays competency in obtaining information, familiarity with medications, and processing of refill prescriptions. Works closely with the Physician and other members of the clinical team.# May perform phlebotomy and/or injections for the patient and make patient callbacks with lab test results and diagnosis. Responsible for providing documented information in the patients chart accurately within the EMR system. Essential Job Qualifications

\r\n\r\n

Education: HS Graduate. APractical Nursing program certification or diploma.

\r\n\r\n

Experience: 1-2 years' experience as an LPN within a Physician practice preferred.

\r\n\r\n

Training/Certification: BLS Certification (AHA)

\r\n\r\n

Licensure: NYS LPN License, Current NYS Registration

\r\n\r\n

Other: Familiarity with using an electronic medical records system; Epic preferred.Effective communication skills with patients and their family members, Physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary health care team.
