Position:
Health & Life Safety Coordinator/Non-Public School Compliance Officer
Location:
Will County ROE 56 (Various/throughout County)

Reports To:
Assistant Superintendent and/or designee
Purpose:
Assists with campus building safety across the county by providing direction on capital improvements under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent and ROE inspectors. Assists ROE inspectors in the field from the ROE office by completing basic office duties.
Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of computers, iPads, tablets, and phones
Strong understanding of basics state databases
Basic knowledge of and willingness to learn basic school building laws and regulations
Attentive to minor details
Major Responsibilities:
Assist Assistant Regional Supt, with the organization of: Emergency Operation Plans, Annual Inspections, District Safety Plans, and Student Enrollment Numbers
Ensure the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE))is up to date with new school related buildings in Will County
Travel to various school-site locations that are on cycle for inspection(s)
Ensure School Districts receive and respond to Annual Inspection Violations
Ensuring all devices are up to date for inspectors PRIOR to their first inspection
Assist with basic technical errors on Inspector devices and database accounts
Confirm and assist with the coordination of meetings between ROE inspectors and SD Architects
Work with ROE inspectors to keep track of the progress of annual inspections through the year
Input Building and Occupancy Permits to the IARSS and ISBE Databases as well as ROE Master Spreadsheets
Maintain an organized HLS work space
Other related duties as assigned
Salary range: $55,000 to $62,000 (Plus Health Benefits)
Qualifications:
Minimum H.S. Diploma W/ relevant work experience
B.A. in related field (preferred)
Spanish conversational ability (preferred)
Must have insured, reliable transportation
