Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Earthwork Foreman at our large heavy civil project in Farmers Branch, Texas.
The Earthwork Foreman is responsible for providing supervision and coordination of workers on a medium size (8 to 10) dirt work crew.
The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs.
This person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities: * Manage a small amount of onsite fleet equipment * Recruit hourly trade personnel * Execute "Look Ahead" schedules * Manage craftsmen and laborers, equipment and materials * Logistics planning * Scheduling construction daily and weekly * Execute project work plans * Manage crews productively and effectively * Training of others on the crew * Purchasing of materials, tools, and supplies * Maintain a safe working environment * Perform quality work to meet requirements Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience managing dirt crews on heavy civil construction projects * Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices * Experience in supervising crew * Experience using HCSS Heavy Job (tablet based) * OSHA 10 hr, First Aid/CPR, rigging, flagging, fall protection, trench excavation, and manlift * Must be highly organized with an attention to detail * Be an effective communicator * Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadline Requirements: * High School Diploma/GED or higher * Valid driver's license * Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures * Must be able to work on call as needed * Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
