What We Seek...
We are looking for individuals who are motivated and hardworking to help us fabricate world-class projects for retail environments, events, and more. The type of projects in our shop ranges from custom cabinetry to architectural millwork, to foam sculptures, to tradeshow booths, and more. The person in this position will be responsible for processing work safely and efficiently, while keeping with Britten's quality control standards. This is a key member of our team who will be flexible in terms of scope of work and will be able to work with a range of materials and tools, to help meet the needs of our customers.
Job Summary and Job Functions
Operate a variety of woodworking and foam sculpting machinery and tools to fabricate cabinetry, millwork, and foam sculptures
Match materials for color, grain, or texture
Glue, fit and clamp parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete unit using clamps or clamping machine
Sand and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare for finishing
Read and understand blueprints, drawings and/or written directions
Measuring parts to ensure accuracy and fit
Assemble and prep units for finishing with precision and attention to detail
Willingness and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations, all work must be done with thinking Safety First
Interest and ability to work long hours and weekends as needed

Requirements
Assembly work, woodworking, carpentry, sculpting and/or finish experience preferred
Ability to learn quickly
Good hand eye coordination
Great attention to detail
Outstanding work ethic and dependability
Proactive self-starter with a positive attitude
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including their design, repair and maintenance preferred
Know how to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and written directions
Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
