The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff.

This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of statistical genetics, bioinformatics, machine learning, and substance use disorders.

Applicants must have an M.D.

or Ph.D or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities may include conducting statistical analyses of large datasets using statistical genetics methods and bioinformatics software.

Using machine learning methods to conduct multi-omics analyses.

Providing instruction to trainees and supervising their use of these methods.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to access large genetic and epigenetic datasets for analysis.
