Qualifications:
Meet the Department of Education Certification
Teach endorsement to include Instructional Strategist I (K-8 Mild/Moderate)
Belief that all students have genius and are leaders
Positive collaboration skills and ability to make data supported instructional decisions
Familiarity with a variety of research based early literacy and numeracy instructional strategies
Duties:
Plan and provide academic instruction according to student IEPs
Monitor, update IEP and input progress monitoring data into IEP
Supervise and oversee the daily schedule of special education associate
Work collaboratively with students and staff to meet the building and districtwide initiatives
Plan with Special Education and General Education Teachers
Preference will be given to the candidate who:
Will be able to collaborate and co-teach in the building with general and special education teachers
Possesses the best qualifications and trainings to meet the needs of the students
Has a working knowledge of strategies to meet the behavior and academic goals of special education students and Building Initiatives (PLC/PBIS/Leader in Me)
Presents the strongest interview
Evident of being collaborative, has a growth mindset and is flexible
Enter IEP data in accordance with IEP including meeting timelines for data entry
Rate of Compensation:
As per 2025-26 Teachers Master Contract
