IMC is currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our Nephrology Clinic. TheLPN must be able to recognize/identify, report and document changes inpatient's condition and comply with all hospital and departmental policies.Ensure that all exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies as well asassist physician/NP in clinic. Assist MD with phone calls topatients/caregivers and pharmacies. The LPN must have knowledge ofmedications administered as well as appropriately document any samplemedications disbursed in clinic. A log of all sample medications are tobe keep current and any expired medications to be disposed of according tohospital policy. The LPN must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary toprovide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and relatedcriteria for the adolescent, adult, and geriatric population.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of a state approved LPN school of nursing
Hold a current LPN License in the State of Louisiana
Previous experience in physician office setting or in Nephrology preferred, but not required
Knowledge of anatomy.

Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles
Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
EHR knowledge
