Job Description

Frette is seeking a Customer Service & Logistics Administrator based out of our Wayne, NJ office.The Customer Service & Logistics Administrator is responsible for supporting the internal customer service team by handling administrative and logistics activities to ensure excellent customer experience. This role acts as a critical bridge between our internal customer service and logistics teams by ensuring that customer requests and issues are handled efficiently and accurately. This role involves administrative tasks, communication with 3PL, communication with Freight Broker and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with other departments internally (Sales and accounting) and the third-party logistics team to ensure seamless service and delivery, providing clear and accurate routing instructions to ensure smooth operations.

Support resolution with internal team members on customer issues with any outbound shipments, such as unexpected issues or delays in transit.

Prepare and manage shipping documents, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork for international direct shipments.

Prepare accurate freight quotes for customer service & sales team members within 24 hours of request.

Provide updates to the internal team on shipment status, raising any concerns such as delays promptly.

Monitor and track truck shipments to ensure timely delivery.

Communicate with 3PL and Freight Broker to provide concise delivery instructions and troubleshoot solutions to avoid or work around potential delays.

Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including transit reports, exceptions, and POD's.

Data entry within the ERP system (Microsoft D365) includes processing orders, updating customer accounts for the Hospitality division.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation is a plus.

Previous experience in logistics or administrative role preferred.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate potential risks.

Solutions-oriented with ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced/high volume environment.
