Roles and Responsibilities: * Greets and assists guest at the food & beverage outlet.
* Received payment from the guest for food and beverage purchases in an accurate, prompt, courteous manner.
* Adheres to established cash handling and internal control policies and procedures.
* Responds promptly to guests' questions and directs concerns to the appropriate manager.
* Performance as a Team Member with kitchen staff and leadership.
* Maintains a clean workspace.
* Protects company assets against theft, breakage, and waste.
Qualifications: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Six months to One year of previous cashier experience preferred.
* Literacy and fluency in Vietnamese or Chinese Language a plus.
* Good communication skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
* Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
* Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.
* Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast Team Members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands: * Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job.
* Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
* Ability to preform these operations using units of American money.
* Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends.
* Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor.
* Responds to visual and aural cues.
* Ability to stand for 8 hours.
* Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
* Must be able to stoop, reach and bend as necessary.
* Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
