Position Type: Special Education/Teacher - Emotionally Impaired Date Posted: 8/14/2025 Location: Beacon Day Treatment Closing Date: Until Filled District: Lincoln Park Public Schools Additional Information: Show/Hide LINCOLN PARK PUBLIC SCHOOLS 1650 Champaign Lincoln Park, Michigan 48146 ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY Special Education 2025 -2026 School Year POSITION: Elementary Teacher 3 - 5 - Special Education Beacon Day Treatment Center And any positions that result from the filling of this posting QUALIFICATIONS: * Michigan Special Education Teacher Certification (Emotionally Impaired -SE certification) * Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements * Experience in a center based program preferred * Experience working with students with Emotional Impairments preferred * Must meet North Central requirements for this position * Must meet MCL 380.1531 & Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

DUTIES: * Adapt, accommodate, and modify the general education curricula, pedagogy, and learning environments for students.

* Align and adapt the student's program with the general education curriculum * Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized behavior management strategies and plans.

Must prepare and implement behavior plans based upon functional behavioral assessments.

* Use a range of curriculum guides to assist with identifying functional goals.

* Employ current assessment instruments and approaches, intervention methodologies, strategies, and techniques that are appropriate for students linking assessment outcomes to curriculum planning.
