Position Type: Elementary School Teaching/Early Childhood Date Posted: 8/18/2025 Location: Flat Rock Community Schools Early Childhood Center District: Flat Rock Community Schools Additional Information: Show/Hide Posting Date: Monday, August 18, 2025 Position: Associate Teacher - Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Qualifications: * Must have one of the following: * Associate's Degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or the equivalent; OR * Valid classroom Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; OR * An existing 120 Hour approval.

* Must meet all requirements established by the Michigan Department of Human Services.

* Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check with MSP, a background check with LARA, and pass a TB Test.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Excellent oral and written communication and presentational skills.

* Ability to cooperate successfully as a member of a team.

* Ability to communicate effectively with others, including * Work effectively, make decisions and problem solve collaboratively within a team.

Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist in instructing and supervising children in classroom activities.

* Assist teacher in incorporating required activities into lesson plans that support children's development.

* Help teacher prepare activities that support lesson plans.

* Maintain open communication with parents.

* Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment.

* Engage in continuing education and professional development activities such as training, workshops, and classes to meet required qualifications.

* Model positive behavior.

* Perform all other related duties and documentation requirements as assigned.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
