Position Details Position Information Position Title Part-Time Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry Faculty Department College of Dental Medicine Position Category Faculty Part Time Job Description The Part Time Clinical Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine is responsible for providing hands-on instruction, supervision, and evaluation of dental students in the clinical environment.
This individual plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while fostering student development in clinical reasoning, technical proficiency, professionalism, and patient-centered communication.
Clinical faculty also contribute to calibration efforts, assessment, and the continuous improvement of clinical education in alignment with the dental school's mission Required Qualifications * DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree from an accredited institution.
* Eligibility for dental licensure or a faculty permit in the state of employment.
* Clinical experience in general dentistry or a dental specialty.
* Commitment to excellence in teaching, clinical education, and patient care Preferred Qualifications * Prior teaching experience in a dental school or academic health center.
* Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., AxiUm). * Familiarity with CODA accreditation standards.
