Description:

The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high-quality images for Radiologist interpretation.

The MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information, and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations.

The role complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Equipment utilized in the position includes GE Signa Artist (1.5T) and GE Signa Architect (3T), with EPIC charting and McKesson PACS system.

Shift requirements are dependent on department needs, with first shift typically from 7 am to 7:30 pm and third shift from 7 pm to 7:30 am.

Weekend and call requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

The department serves a wide variety of patients, from routine to critical conditions, including those under sedation and anesthesia.

Numerous protocols, both routine and complex, are performed within Neuro, Body, and MSK designations.

The facility will research and safely scan implants, including pacemakers, stimulators, and aneurysm clips.
