Shift Time: Variable Start, Floating Location, Call Required, 4/10's

Minimum Experience: 1 year

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hr

Qualifications of a Surgical Technologist:

Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).

Strong understanding of surgical procedures and techniques.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities of a Surgical Technologist:

Prepare operating rooms for surgeries by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.

Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs.

Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery to prevent infections.

Handle specimens collected during surgeries appropriately.

Assist with patient positioning and transfer to and from the operating table.

Monitor and document vital signs of patients during surgeries.

Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures.
