Overview
A Parking & Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for event day supervision and management of part of our parking & transportation operations on event days. In addition to supervising staff, they will manage parking facilities that link Arena parking facilities, and oversee special operations, including conducting quality assurance checks and interfacing with transit authorities operations staff, among other special project tasks. This individual will observe, report, and carry out event day procedures set forth by the Parking & Transportation Manager. The supervisor will be asked to complete event checklists, complete event reports, and ensure efficient operation. A person who can provide valuable information and feedback regarding our parking and transportation operations to better assist the Manager & Director with the implementation of procedures would be valuable. This role will be part-time and event based, reporting directly to the Manager of Parking & Transportation.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $27.75.

Responsibilities
Lead key coordination activities between parking lots including at transit facilities, intersections, offramps, and rideshare among others to ensure the safe, efficient movement of vehicle traffic and guests
Responsible for accounting for mobile parking & telecoms equipment from all staff
Responsible for implementing rigorous quality assurance and quality control protocols of all onsite parking & transportation facilities to ensure a flawless guest experience
Maintain UBS Arena's core values while working on property
Inspect garage and parking lots several times throughout day
Work closely with our third-party parking operator and pedestrian traffic control operator throughout events to ensure safe and efficient traffic patterns for all guests
Assist manager with event day operations of garage, parking lots, and traffic flow
Operate/Monitor IP Parking systems & Park Assist
Assist Manager with traffic management program and creating Traffic Command Center in SOC monitoring real-time parking data, Waze, NY 511, park assist, camera systems, and other parking and traffic systems
Assist Manager with enforcement of employee parking program
Ensure event day checklists are followed & completed for entirety of event
Ensure campus is set up and lots are ready for event
Report traffic incidents in lots to manager
Perform traffic material/supply inventory along with our parking operations
Perform inventory management
Assist Manager by gathering information to respond to guest inquires and investigate complaints/concerns
Assisting with the continuous evaluation and adjustment pedestrian and vehicle wayfinding signage program
Qualifications
Experience Desired: 1-2 years in an event setting
Ability to work extended hours including mornings, nights, weekends, on-call status, and holidays, as necessary
Working knowledge of parking best practices
Ability to anticipate problems and implement immediate corrective action
Knowledge of safety regulations
Ability to lead, give clear and concise direction
Communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills required
Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
Previous experience in event operations or parking operations is preferred, but not required
Must be able to legally operate vehicles
