ESL/Bilingual Teacher

Duties 1.

Professional Responsibilities: A.

Create and update - TPI/TBE Program Framework B.

Implement WIDA standards and training with in the district C.

Translate report cards when necessary D.

Translate at Parent Teacher Conferences E.

Contact bilingual parents in Spanish F.

Provide yearly required LEP in-service training G.

Attend ELL Professional Development opportunities H.

Attend ELL- IEP meetings 2.

Program Implementation & Data Management 1.

Maintain Accurate Records and contact with parents 2.

Screen all eligible LEP students (PreK-8th grade) using state prescribed screening instruments 3.

Appropriately place LEP student in TPI/TBE programs 4.

Create LEP service schedule 5.

Coordinate and Administer ACCESS/MODEL testing for all LEP students in grade Kindergarten - 8th grade 6.

Coordinate and Administer ISAT LEP testing (grades 3-8) 7.

Correspond with any LEP/Bilingual service requests for any move-in or transfer students 8.

Help gather data for the Bilingual Grant Application 9.

Help complete the Bilingual Grant Application - and Bilingual Services Report 10.

Plan for the following school year and how services can be improved 11.

Order any materials needed for the following school year 12.

Contact High Schools for transitioning LEP students Qualifications Must be certified to teach K-8 English Language Learners and Bilingual (Spanish) students: Type 29 Certificates are accepted.
