Position Details Position Information Position Title Adjunct, Biology Department Biology & Chemistry Position Category Adjunct Job Description The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Lincoln Memorial Unversity is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach within the undergraduate program.

This instructor will be responsible to teach General Biology I or 2 (for majors) and/or Introductory Biology (for non-majors) lecture and/or laboratories on the undergraduate campus in Harrogate, TN.

The Adjunct Instructor of Biology reports directly to the Department of Biology and Chemistry Cha Required Qualifications * Masters degree in Biology or relevant discipline.

Preferred Qualifications undergraduate teaching experience.

Physical Demands Campus Harrogate Job Duty Job Duty promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large; Job Duty promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students; Job Duty work as part of a team of instructors to articulate student learning outcomes for the BIOL 100, 111, and 112 laboratory experiences as assigned; Job Duty work as part of a team of instructors to select, organize and deliver appropriate laboratory experiences to complement BIOL 100, 111, and 112 lectures, Job Duty promote the development of student knowledge and skills related to discovery science in the laboratory; Job Duty work as part of a team of instructors to define and create objective and project-level assessments of students learning; Job Duty grade objective exams and quizzes; Job Duty ensure that every laboratory student has received, understood, and signed the Lab Safety Rules Sheet associated each lab section, Job Duty enter grades in the Blackboard grade book; Job Duty upload materials into Blackboard; Job Duty help maintain accurate and accountable records; Job Duty provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual; Job Duty comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual; and Job Duty perform other duties as assigned related to instruction of undergraduate students.
