Multilingual Learner Teacher Permanent Substitute (Sept. - Oct.)

-Instruct English Learner students individually or in groups in oral language activities that foster the child's participation in the school's total program.

* Provide written language activities until the student is ready to join an existing language arts group within the school.

* Recommend appropriate modifications of the child's regular classroom assignments with respect to the existing English language level.

* Assist in developing a sequential ESL Program.

* Assist in developing/assembling relevant assessment materials.

* Assist in developing/assembling materials for classroom use.

* Certification as Teacher of English as a Second Language.

* Experience as teacher of English as a Second Language in a public school setting preferred.

* Fluency in a second language preferred.

* Extended experience living in another culture preferred.

SALARY: Per ASC/Andover Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and District's English Learner Education coordinator
