At Hennessy, service advisors are the face of the service department and play a crucial role in building trust and gaining repeat business with our service customers. As a service advisor, you are the liaison between the customer and technician and are responsible for ensuring an excellent experience.

What you'll do:

Greet customers on the lane and perform a walk-around of the vehicle upon arrival.

Acknowledge automotive problems and services needed by listening to the customer's description of symptoms; clarify description of problems; conduct vehicle inspection with the customer; take test drives when needed; check vehicle maintenance records; answer service calls and schedule appointments when needed

Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered as well as repairs and services required; obtain approval signatures and enter repair orders into the Reynolds & Reynolds system correctly and promptly..

Establish and maintain customer relations by explaining estimates and expected completion time; obtain customer's approval of estimates and repairs; record contact information; answer questions and concerns that arise; arrange towing and temporary transportation as needed.

Verify warranty and service contract coverage; explain provisions and exclusions in detail to customers.

Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor; calculate customer's payment, including deductibles.

Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs.

Update job and product knowledge as required by Hennessy or the manufacturer.

Communicate professionally and provide updates on customer repairs as needed to technicians and the parts department.

Requirements

What we expect:

Must submit to a background and drug screen

Maintain a valid Georgia driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Prior experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred

Exceptional customer service

High level of detail orientation and accuracy

Proven experience working within a team environment

Working Environment & Physical Demands

Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 25 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, walking and driving vehicles. Must be able to handle working long hours and weekends.
