This role is responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with standards, collaborating with vendors, and contributing to research projects that translate into practical applications.
RESPONSIBILTIES * Achieve specific goals within assigned research projects while following established systems and procedures.
* Design and conduct scientific experiments, tests, and analyses to generate innovative insights.
* Develop and validate testing methods aligned with product specifications and research needs.
* Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
* Compile, interpret, and present data in reports, charts, and other documentation formats.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support project success.
* Monitor and manage laboratory consumables, ensuring availability for ongoing projects.
REQUIREMENTS * BS/MS degree in a science related field along with 5 -10 years of experience.
Preferred chemistry major and experience in on-line analytics.
This position should be highly knowledgeable in Gas Chromatography, GCMS, FTIR, NIR, Titration, other applicable instrumentation, and strong computer skills.
* Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and report preparation using standard software tools.
* Experience maintaining and troubleshooting analytical equipment and laboratory instruments.
* Knowledge of industry regulations, safety practices, and quality standards.
* Project R&D Lead to obtain up to date analytical methods for new products for all 6 production units.
* Project R&D Lead to obtain latest revisions to existing analytical methods.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly.
This position will interface with all levels of co-workers, research and development staff, internal and external maintenance engineers and must be able to independently represent the plant and provide technical guidance to others.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to others.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
* The position requires management & supervision aptitude to help resolve personnel issues, build team culture, and develop people.
