Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the leave replacement position of ELA Teacher at Seven Bridges Middle School beginning immediately.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Develops and actualizes a learning environment consistent with school district vision, goals and objectives.
* Knowledge of NYS ELA Standards and uses them for unit and lesson plan development.
* Strong, broad knowledge of fiction and non-fiction literature, both classic and contemporary.
* Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
* Thoughtfully centers equity in the daily learning experiences to support the students' awareness of identity and inclusivity.
* Develops clear, engaging, and relevant lesson plans that appropriately challenge students and demonstrate current educational pedagogy.
* Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth; actively seeks professional learning opportunities.
* Demonstrates an understanding of how to implement project-based learning, teach to various learning styles, differentiate instruction, and collaborate with department members.
