Our client, a leading organization in employee health and benefits management, is seeking a Disability Leave Specialist to join their team. As a Disability Leave Specialist, you will be part of the Human Resources department supporting employee absence management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Disability Leave Specialist

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Pay: $17/hr W2

Duration: 12 months (potential to extend/convert)

What's the Job?

Manage employee absence cases through effective communication and adherence to applicable regulations and policies.

Provide guidance and counseling to stakeholders including HR, managers, and employees regarding leave processes and options.

Perform transactional duties related to absence management, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Participate in departmental projects to meet organizational objectives and improve absence management strategies.

Monitor case progress, ensuring milestones such as benefit change dates and leave exhaustion are achieved and documented properly.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, healthcare administration, psychology, or related field.

Minimum of one year of experience in case management, medical terminology, or human resources preferred but not required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to prioritize tasks, analyze cases, and resolve conflicts efficiently.
