Lead Contract Specialist (Construction)

Industry: Global Construction Industry

Location: Sathorn, Bangkok (Near BTS)

Working hours: Mon-Fri (8:00-17:00)

Key Responsibilities:

- Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction contracts and legal documents to protect company interests.

- Compliance and Administration: Monitor contract performance to ensure all parties adhere to contractual terms, conditions, and obligations.

- Risk and Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential contractual risks, manage claims, and implement effective solutions to mitigate issues and prevent disputes.

- Change Management: Administer and manage all change orders, claims, extensions of time, and variations in close collaboration with project teams.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Provide expert contractual advice and guidance to project teams, and work with legal and procurement departments to ensure all contracts meet regulatory and company standards.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date contract documentation, including all variations, claims, and change orders.

- Industry Expertise: Stay current with the latest industry regulations, legal requirements, and best practices in construction contract management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, or a related field.

- At least 5 years of experience in contract management, with a strong preference for experience in the construction industry and private sector projects.

- Proficient understanding of construction contracts and standard forms, such as FIDIC, AIA, JCT, or others. Strong knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and dispute resolution.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized Contract Management software.

- Certification in contract management from an organization like IACCM or NCMA is a plus.

- Good command of English, both writing and speaking.
