Varsity Girls Track

Tri-Township Schools is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Varsity Girls Track Coach to lead and grow our high school girls track and field program.

This position is focused on building a competitive team culture that emphasizes effort, discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience coaching various track and field events and a passion for supporting student-athletes in both their athletic and academic development.

Key Responsibilities: * Plan and lead practices that develop athletes' skills across a variety of track and field events.

* Identify and nurture individual student-athlete strengths to support overall team success.

* Promote a culture of hard work, accountability, and team unity.

* Prepare athletes physically and mentally for meets, including technique, conditioning, and strategy.

* Collaborate with assistant coaches, athletic staff, and administration to manage schedules, transportation, equipment, and facilities.

* Monitor academic progress and serve as a mentor to student-athletes.

* Ensure safety during all training and competition activities by teaching proper technique and adhering to health and safety protocols.

* Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and school personnel regarding expectations, schedules, and team progress.

Qualifications: * Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.

* Strong knowledge of track and field events, rules, and training methodologies.

* Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

* Ability to work with and motivate diverse groups of student-athletes.

Requirements: * Must pass a background check in accordance with school district policies.

* Availability for practices, meets, and related events.

* Commitment to supporting the values and expectations of Tri-Township Schools and the IHSAA.

Compensation: * Stipend based on the teacher's master contract.
