About the Role
As a Medical Technologist, you will perform precise and timely laboratory testing, ensuring quality results that directly impact patient diagnosis and treatment. You will also provide leadership and take responsibility for department functions during supervisor absences.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing accurately and within established turnaround times, including proficiency testing samples
Assume responsibility for departmental operations when needed in the absence of supervisory staff
Document patient results meticulously and manage quality control procedures
Perform STAT testing and ensure timely communication of critical results
Use independent judgment in correlating and interpreting patient test results, including performing delta checks
Review and resolve pending and result logs to maintain workflow efficiency
Address and troubleshoot quality control issues and critical specimens as per protocols Why Apply?

Job Requirements
Education:
Minimum Associate Degree (2-year) in Medical Technology or related field required
Bachelor's Degree (4-year) in Medical Technology preferred
Licensing:
Valid Florida State Technologist License (generalist or clinical specialty) required or ability to obtain during interview process
Experience:
Minimum 3 years clinical laboratory experience required
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment
Experience performing quality control and proficiency testing
Ability to handle critical lab specimens and results responsibly
