BayCare Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is looking for a Medical Assistant / CNA to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We're looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:00pm. No Holidays! No Weekends! Flexibility as a Full-time, Part-time, or PRN opportunity.

The Job:
Assists practitioners with patients; escorting patients to rooms, taking vital signs, and the patient teaching as directed by a physician.
May assist nursing staff in admitting patients in the pre-operative area.
Informs nursing staff of any patient concerns.
May assist in the post-operative execution of physician orders.
Assists physician with treatment of patients such as: handling of instruments, tube changes, dressing changes, clip removal, removing sutures, etc.
Assists with surgery and/or procedures as requested.
Schedules required tests.
Talks with patients regarding scheduled tests and test results as indicated from charts after review by physician.
Answers minor medical problem questions for patients.
Makes telephone calls to patients regarding physician orders and/or prescription medications ordered by the physician.
Stocks appropriate medical and drug supplies.
Assists in routine cleaning of patient rooms, waiting areas, and maintains accurate cleaning logs.
Accurately documents all care provided to the patient and in the patient's medical record.
The Requirements:
A valid MA certification is preferred.
1 year of experience required, general surgery experience helpful but not required.
EPIC experience desired.
Candidate will be a dedicated and compassionate individual who enjoys working in a fast paced, versatile environment with the willingness to learn.
