Position Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech for travel assignments in hospitals and surgical centers. The Surgical Tech will assist in surgical procedures by ensuring the sterility of the operating room, preparing surgical instruments, and supporting the surgical team throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities

Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operating rooms before surgeries.

Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control procedures.

Assist surgeons and nurses by handing instruments, sponges, and sutures.

Maintain an accurate count of surgical instruments and supplies.

Operate suction, lights, and other OR equipment during procedures.

Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping.

Monitor surgical procedures to anticipate the needs of the team.

Handle and dispose of specimens and biohazard materials properly.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Certification:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.

Experience:

1-2+ years of surgical tech experience in an operating room setting.

Experience in general, orthopedic, cardiovascular, or trauma surgery is a plus.

Skills:

Proficiency in surgical instrumentation, sterile techniques, and equipment handling.

Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
