DVM Student Externship - Precious Paws Animal Hospital

is proud to serve Southaven, Olive Branch, Hernando, Horn Lake, and the surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service.

Our facility now features 9 exam rooms (up from 6) and a treatment area that has doubled in size. This expansion allows us to offer advanced veterinary services, including ultrasound, orthopedic surgery, and enhanced dental care.

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.

Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.

Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Eligibility

Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School

Must be able to provide student PLIT
