POSITION: The Production Manager leads the assembly of our Broderson cranes. They plan, coordinate, and oversee the entire production process. They ensure we safely produce quality products on time and within budget. They advance their organization forward, drive continuous improvement, and promote a positive work environment for the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations and Resource Management. Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demand. Organize the manufacturing workflow to optimize the use of labor, equipment, and materials. Monitory inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products. Coordinate with procurement to manage the supply chain and prevent shortages. Manage the production budget, track expenditures, and identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising quality.

Safety and Compliance. Ensure adherence to all company policies and government regulations regarding health, safety, and environmental protection. Perform routine safety checks on people, processes and equipment to identify and mitigate hazards.

Quality and Continuous Process Improvement. Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, defects, and other issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Analyze production data, such as output rates and efficiency metrics, to identify areas for improvement. Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to streamline processes and reduce waste. Led shift starts, visual daily management, GEMBA walks, and business performance reviews.

Team Leadership and Personnel Management. Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of all production personnel. Decide how to best direct associates to meet production goals, determine staffing needs, and schedule working hours. Ensure all employees are properly trained to maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High-energy and results-driven

5-10 years' progressive experience in Industrial Manufacturing with

Leadership (Manager, Supervisor) of direct reports (non-exempt and/or exempt) and a

Technical background (Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Quality)

g., Manager/Supervisor of Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality

Implementation of Lean / OpEx / Best-Practice - Systems, Processes, Tools. g., goals, metrics, root cause problem solving, visual daily management, capacity/resource planning, kaizen, 5S, standard work, takt time, assembly line design, etc.

g., Toyota Production System, Caterpillar Production System

Demonstrated Continuous Improvement with business metric results. Initiating, leading, and problem-solving with the team.

g., Safety (injury reduction), Quality (scrap, rework, warranty), Delivery (throughput-capacity, on-time delivery, lead-time), Cost (productivity, headcount), Inventory ($'s, days on hand), and Environment (engagement, turnover, etc).

Strong ERP/MRP and analytical skills including data analysis, optimization, Excel, Power BI.

Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, etc.

High-Potential Employee (HIPO) capable of career development and upside advancement

QUALIFICATIONS PREFEERED:

Industry leading companies - Case, Caterpillar, John Deere, Toyota, Danaher, Ford, GM, etc.

Complex and highly engineered products experiences that are similar/relatable to cranes.

Master's degree MBA, MS, etc.

Certifications include Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, etc.
