Quotations Specialist - Switchgear

Summary Job title: Quotations Specialist - Switchgear Job ID: Department: Davenport - 3E Location: IA-Davenport Description Summary: In this role, you'll work closely with customers, our sales team, and suppliers to prepare accurate quotations, manage projects, and ensure timely delivery of switchgear solutions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong electrical distribution knowledge who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and managing technical projects from start to finish.

Reports to: Inside Sales Manager Minimum Qualifications: + Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems.

+ Working knowledge of switchgear, switchboards, transformers, panel-boards, motor control centers, circuit breakers, and fuses.

+ Strong math, grammar, and geometry skills.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Experience with Square D products (preferred). Preferred Qualifications: + Education/Experience: 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent field experience.

Working Conditions: + Working conditions will be standard for an office environment & warehouse.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No Essential Job Functions: + Interpret project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare quotations (pricing, delivery, and technical details). + Value engineer projects to ensure 3E is positioned as the most competitive bidder.

+ Place material orders based on project/customer requirements.

+ Manage projects to ensure orders are delivered on time and according to specifications.

+ Collaborate with customers and the sales team to review project needs and recommend 3E solutions.

+ Act as the key contact between customers and suppliers for pricing, delivery, service, and technical support.

+ Provide product recommendations and design layouts for design-build projects.

+ Prepare operation and maintenance manuals after project completion.

+ Work independently while collaborating with the quotations team.
