Key Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and direction to the assigned manufacturing team(s) as a direct manager for the Production employees
Monitors and leads production team activities that ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost targets
Help to achieve annual Balanced Scorecard (KPI) objectives
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Implement and sustain visual management across assigned production lines
Work with Supply Chain and planning department to develop production build schedules
Plans and monitors production operations for schedule attainment and efficiency for the assigned departments
Leads and/or assists with hourly personnel management and problem resolution, consulting with Human Resources as needed
Performs metric tracking, problem solving and continuous improvement activities
Meet, or exceed, all customer requirements including on-time delivery of products
Contribute to optimizing the flow and productivity of the assigned department
Maintain AS9100/J-STD-001/IPC-610/IPC-620/ESD compliance and all other standards/certifications established and required by our customers
Support Customer Service, Engineering and other departments as required
Demonstrate moral standards, ethical compliance, and integrity, as expected by the Company, its customers, suppliers, team members and stakeholders
Adhere to ESCO's business policies, Environments Health & Safety policies and US export law and controls.
Performs all other duties as required, requested or needed
Managerial Responsibilities:
Manage direct reports' work assignments and ensure proper workflow
Ensure direct reports are following all company policies and procedures
Be responsible for management changes in HRIS for direct reports
Responsible for the management, leading and coaching of team members defined as direct reports
Conduct annual appraisals with team members, setting objectives to ensure performance standards are met
Conduct regular one to one meeting with team members to discuss workload, progress, training and development needs and address performance issues, involving Human Resources when appropriate
Identify resource requirements and conduct interviews and assessments to ensure effective recruitment and hiring processes
Identify training and development needs for staff and action training requests as required to expand their skills, aligning their needs with the business strategy and regulatory requirements
Encourage the sharing and retention of knowledge and experience within the business through effective mentoring of team members and colleagues
Formulate effective succession plans and review regularly to ensure the skills and knowledge required to fulfil key roles are met through continuous training, development and mentoring
Required Skills:
Proficient knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
10+ years of increasing responsibility and experience in a low volume / high mix production environment
Bachelor's degree required
Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens only
Desired Skills:
LEAN, Six Sigma Blackbelt certified
8+ years of managing electronic assembly & test including oversight of operator certification and training programs
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Team player to work cross functionally as required
Safety conscious and able to apply methodologies to improve processes
Physical Requirements:
Able to work with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the production floor
Ability to stoop, bend, left up to 30lbs
Periodically may require longer working hours
Compensation Information
Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 USD (Annually)
