Barr Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Reading Teacher to join our team.

The ideal candidate will foster a love for reading and literacy among students, helping them develop essential reading skills and comprehension strategies.

This full-time position requires a collaborative approach to teaching, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

* Valid Illinois license to teach elementary school reading.

* Proven experience teaching reading at the elementary level.

* Strong knowledge of reading instruction methodologies and literacy development.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Commitment to professional growth and development in the field of education.

* Familiarity with educational technology and resources to support reading instruction.

Salary/Benefits This is a full-time equivalent position.

The base salary for a 1.0 full-time position is $46,575.
