Qualifications Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma issued by the State Education Department of New York PLUS One (1) year experience working in a school or health care facility with children or adults with special needs.

Special Requirements Must complete 15 hours of pre-service or in-service training in behavior management, school safety and nature and needs of students with disabilities by the completion of the probationary period.
