Associate Faculty (PT-Faculty): Early Childhood Education Pool SALARY: Five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,208.03 LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington DESCRIPTION: Edmonds College is recruiting associate faculty to teach in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) department.

Associate faculty will teach courses that support students seeking to earn certificates and associate's degrees in order to provide early learning experiences to young children.

Subject areas may include creative expression, child development, language and literacy, or environments for young children, among others.

Courses are taught in various modes, including a flexible learning mode that includes in person and online options, and classes may meet in the day or evening.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Human Services, OR a closely related field conferred prior to the start of employment.

* Possess recent experience in working with children, youth or family systems in professional or community settings with emphasis on individuals and groups from historically marginalized backgrounds.

* Evidence of or potential for successful college-level teaching experience in early childhood education or a related field like human services or family support subject areas with students from a wide range of backgrounds and levels of preparation.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience working with Canvas or other online learning management systems.

* Ability to adapt curriculum to the needs of synchronous and asynchronous learners, and effectively manage classes with in person and remote participants.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office or lab environment and may include activities related to sitting/lifting/stooping/walking.

The ability to speak clearly on the telephone and use a computer is required.

Occasional early/late hours (weekend/early morning/evening) may be required.

COMPENSATION: Compensation is made in accordance with the Negotiated Agreement between the Washington Community College District and Edmonds College Federation of Teachers.

Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction.

A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,208.03 at Step A.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: * You must document your citizenship or employment authorization within three days of hire.
