We’re seeking a reliable and dedicated Maths Teacher, local to Sittingbourne, to join a supportive secondary school environment. Starting ASAP, this role is confirmed until Christmas with the strong possibility of continuing through to the end of the academic year.
The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and values the importance of consistency for students, ensuring that every child receives high-quality teaching and stability throughout their learning journey. With a two-week timetable (08:35–14:35 and 08:55–15:15), you’ll be working in a setting that encourages students to apply mathematical reasoning to real-world and academic challenges.
Maths Teacher responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and challenging lessons up to KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
Encourage mathematical reasoning and problem-solving in every lesson
Provide planning, marking and assessment to support student progress
Contribute to the inclusive and consistent learning environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department
Maths Teacher requirements:
QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
Maths specialist with experience teaching across KS3–KS4
Strong classroom management and ability to inspire confidence in students
Commitment to planning and marking where required
Reliable and adaptable (this placement may continue to July 2026)
