Multi- Spindle Screw Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator to join our team in Illinois. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-spindle screw machines to produce precision metal components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high production quality.

Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and operate multi-spindle screw machines (Acme, Davenport, or similar) according to production specifications.

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, making adjustments as needed to maintain production flow and quality.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and job orders.

Utilize precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure components meet strict quality standards.

Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to optimize output and quality.

Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.

Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals.

Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating Acme, Davenport, or similar multi-spindle screw machines.

Proven ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Proficient in using micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with hands and arms.

Good visual acuity for reading blueprints and inspecting small components.
