Estimator – Central Ohio

My client, a well-established commercial general contractor in Central Ohio, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role in preconstruction and support the delivery of successful commercial projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects from conceptual through final stages

Review drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements

Develop accurate take-offs, material and labor pricing, and subcontractor comparisons

Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving strategies

Support bid presentations and client meetings

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a construction estimator, preferably in commercial general contracting

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing

Proficiency with estimating software and take-off tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift)

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
