POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Blue Printer

SUMMARY:

The Blue Printer is responsible for creating a detailed repair plan that outlines estimated costs, required parts, and specific repair procedures. This role collaborates closely with technicians and customers to ensure a smooth and transparent repair process. Blue Printers also serve as customer advocates by negotiating with insurance adjusters to secure fair and accurate claim settlements.

Pay: 75-85k plus bonus

Location: Three C Body shop in Columbus, OH

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and verify the complete disassembly of vehicles scheduled for repair.

Assign work orders to technicians based on workload and expertise.

Review the Estimate of Record (EOR) with technicians following vehicle disassembly.

Ensure estimators review repairs for insurance compliance prior to CCC submission.

Provide repair progress updates to estimators to facilitate accurate customer communication (e.g., delays, early completions).

Inputting work orders into CCC, along with supporting photos.

Lead daily production meetings to align teams and maintain workflow efficiency across the shop.

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation while assessing and recording vehicle damage

Prepare comprehensive estimates that factor in parts pricing, repair procedures, and labor costs.

Supervise technicians to ensure repairs are performed according to the estimate and quality standards.

Adhere to all industry regulations; stay informed on evolving insurance policies that impact repairs.

Work collaboratively with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements within policy guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience as an estimator or auto damage appraiser required.

Must have at least 2 years of experience writing with CCC.

Possess extensive knowledge of the restoration components: safety features, mechanical systems, vehicle construction, and repair techniques.

Excellent verbal communication skills, as the role requires the explanation of complex technical processes.

Thorough attention to detail.

Demonstrates meticulous, accurate documentation of vehicle damage.
